Official Demoted, RTA Clerk Surrendered to PTA in Layyah

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) — Deputy Commissioner Layyah Asif Ali Dogar has sent a clear message of zero tolerance against corruption, misuse of authority and illegal activities in government departments, ordering action against officials allegedly involved in misconduct.

According to sources, Aslam Sukhera, who was serving as a Qanungo, has been demoted and posted as a Patwari. Meanwhile, RTA clerk Farrukh Rasool has reportedly been surrendered to the Punjab Transport Authority (PTA) in connection with an alleged corruption matter.

Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Dogar stated that corruption and misuse of official authority would not be tolerated under any circumstances and that indiscriminate action would continue against elements found involved in such practices. He emphasized that the district administration is committed to ensuring transparency, merit, and the rule of law in government institutions. Complaints regarding negligence in official duties or misuse of authority will be dealt with strictly according to the law.

The Deputy Commissioner further stressed that ensuring transparent and merit-based public service delivery is a top priority for the administration. He reminded government officials that they are expected to perform their duties responsibly and in accordance with the rules and regulations.
