Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi stated that a meeting between the Gulf states and Iran, scheduled for today in Oman, focusing on potential agreements concerning the Strait of Hormuz, has been postponed. An Iranian Foreign Ministry official confirmed the delay, attributing it to a joint decision by Tehran and Muscat, at the request of some regional countries.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed no objection to such a meeting, noting it was a decision for the Gulf states. Trump further predicted an end to the Iran war by this year, potentially sooner after the November midterm elections.
