Oman Meeting Postponed at Saudi Arabia’s Request: Esmaeil Baghaei

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that a meeting scheduled for today in Oman, involving foreign ministers from Iran and seven Gulf countries, has been postponed at Saudi Arabia‘s request. The meeting was intended to discuss maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Baghaei expressed his belief that this opportunity, provided by Iran and Oman, should be appreciated by regional countries. He condemned any external interference or excuses hindering the meeting’s progression.

No new date for the gathering has been announced as of yet. It is worth noting that Oman’s Foreign Minister had previously announced the cancellation, while Bahrain cited Iran’s presence as a reason for their absence.
