Zayed International Airport (AUH) has been awarded the Certified Autism Centre™ (CAC) designation by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This recognition underscores Abu Dhabi Airports’ commitment to operational excellence, inclusive design, and a passenger experience that prioritizes dignity, confidence, and care for all travelers.
The CAC Designation and Its Benefits
The CAC designation is the result of a thorough onsite review and evidence-based training conducted in alignment with IBCCES’s globally recognized standards. These programs assess terminal environments, service pathways, and operational touchpoints, equipping airport staff with the necessary tools, language, and confidence to support autistic and sensory-sensitive travelers consistently and professionally.
