Ombudsman Regional Office Hears 115 Public Complaints

BAHAWALPUR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 10th Sep, 2026) A total of 115 public complaints relating to MEPCO and the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) were heard at the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Bahawalpur under the supervision of Senior Advisor Tahir Nawaz Khan.

According to an official press release issued here, during the hearing, complaints concerning electricity bills, excessive charges, detection bills, and other service-related issues were reviewed in detail. Immediate relief was provided to complainants in several cases, while the relevant departments were directed to resolve the remaining complaints promptly in accordance with the law and on merit.

Senior Advisor Tahir Nawaz Khan instructed officials to ensure that consumers are not subjected to unnecessary procedural delays or administrative hurdles. He emphasized that every complaint should be handled seriously and resolved within the prescribed legal framework.
