Pakistan Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Pakistan strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed that these attacks are a violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, posing a threat to regional peace and stability. Pakistan reiterated its support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security, and prosperity of Saudi Arabia, offering solidarity with its leadership, government, and people. It also wished a swift and full recovery for those injured in the attacks.
The Foreign Office emphasized Pakistan’s backing of Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right, consistent with the UN Charter and international law, to take necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents, and safeguard its national assets against threats. Furthermore, Pakistan pledged to continue efforts for lasting peace and stability in the region.
