Pakistan Welcomes US Decision To Lift All Sanctions Against Syria: Dar
ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th Aug, 2026)
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday said Pakistan welcomes the decision by the United States to lift all sanctions against the Syrian Arab Republic.
"This positive decision will not only help the Syrian economy towards recovery and growth but also contribute to regional peace and stability," the deputy prime minister said in a news release.
Pakistan, he said reiterated its steadfast support for sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria and stands ready to further expand its bilateral cooperation with the brotherly country for lasting peace and prosperity.
