The trilateral defense pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye could be activated if Saudi Arabia comes under attack, according to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Asif stated that under the trilateral agreement reached in Makkah, the three nations are obligated to support one another. He asserted that Pakistan would not waver from its responsibilities and confirmed Pakistan‘s unwavering position on Saudi Arabia‘s security.

This comes after Yemeni Houthi attacks on several Saudi cities, including Abha, Khamis, Mushait, Najran, and Jazan, which injured 73 people, some of them children and women. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned these attacks, highlighting their threat to innocent lives and regional stability.
