PBM Opens Market Doors for Women Trainees

PBM, in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and An-Nisa Dastkari school, showcased products crafted by women trainees from its empowerment centres across Pakistan on Sunday. This event provided direct access to customers and businesses, opening new avenues for marketing, sales, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

Attended by PBM Managing Director, Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt as the chief guest, the exhibition celebrated the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication of the women trainees and partner organizations.

This initiative is part of PBM’s shift from conventional welfare assistance to economic empowerment by equipping women with practical skills, entrepreneurial opportunities, and market access.

Senator Capt. Shaheen emphasized the importance of empowering women beyond vocational training, advocating for a complete pathway that includes skills development, entrepreneurship, market access, and sustainable income generation. He stressed the need for contemporary marketing skills, particularly digital marketing and online selling, to help their products reach wider audiences.

Connecting women producers with e-commerce platforms can expand their businesses, attract new customers, and build sustainable income sources. The exhibition brought together the public, prospective customers, and the business community, enabling trainees to promote their products, explore direct sales, and build customer networks.

Senator Capt. Shaheen highlighted reforms at 165 PBM Women Empowerment Centres supported by NAVTTC and NUTECH, aiming to modernize skills training according to market demands. He called for stronger partnerships among public institutions, businesses, private organizations, and digital platforms to create sustainable economic opportunities for women.

Referencing the Prime Minister’s Uraan Pakistan Programme, the PBM managing director stated that their vision aligns with the national goal of inclusive economic growth through women’s skills development, entrepreneurship, market access, and digital inclusion.

PBM is committed to creating an enabling environment for women to turn their skills into viable businesses, achieve financial independence, and contribute more actively to the national economy.
