Peaceful Street Protests Are Our Constitutional Right, We Carry No Weapons: Salman Akram Raja

PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has stated that peaceful protests on the streets are a constitutional right and that demonstrators will not be carrying weapons. He highlighted the encouraging sign that people in Lahore shops were asking where to gather on September 27, seeing a national awakening to the oppression occurring in the country.
According to Raja, while political workers are at the forefront of revolutionary change, it is the nation that ultimately rises to support them. He invited all Pakistanis to participate in this constitutional duty.
The PTI leader noted the recent elections in Pakistan have been a farce, and homes have been violated. He expressed concern over the beatings of women, the elderly, and children across the country, emphasizing that these events will not weaken their resolve but instead strengthen their determination to achieve their important objective.
During a visit to a Lahore market, Raja found shopkeepers eager to know where and when to gather on September 27. He assured them that the Lahore organization would provide details later. He observed a similar enthusiasm at other shops he visited.
Raja acknowledged the encouraging signs of national awakening against oppression and noted that ordinary citizens, including shopkeepers and workers, were ready to participate. He reminded that citizens have the right to peaceful protests, gathering on the streets, and speaking about their rights, without carrying weapons.
Regarding a court case concerning September 27, Raja questioned why the court had summoned chief secretaries from all four provinces, implying it was unnecessary. He promised to observe the court’s intentions.
Raja also alleged that hundreds of PTI workers across the country are being abducted and arrested.
