Peshawar Administration Plans Dedicated Workshop Centre Along Ring Road

Commissioner Khalid Mahmood has directed officials to identify a site where rickshaw, mechanical, denting, and electrical workshops can be relocated from congested city roads and operate at one location.
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Nov, 2026) The district administration decided on Wednesday to shift all rickshaw and other vehicle workshops operating in the city to designated premises along Ring Road to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.
According to an official statement issued by the Commissioner Peshawar Division's Office, Commissioner Khalid Mahmood directed Deputy Commissioner Afaq Wazir to identify a suitable location along Ring Road for establishing a dedicated workshop centre.
The commissioner stated that rickshaw, mechanical, denting, and electrical workshops operating along the City Circular Road and other parts of Peshawar were causing serious traffic disruptions.
He directed the administration to allocate a suitable site where all such workshops could operate at one place, providing vehicle owners and drivers with essential repair and maintenance facilities under one roof.
He emphasized that smooth traffic flow, public convenience, and improvement of the city's appearance remain the administration's top priorities.
