PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The district administration stepped up its crackdown on the sale of substandard petrol, sealing a fuel station in the Yakatoot area here on Wednesday and arresting its owner.
According to a statement issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, the action was carried out as part of ongoing operations against sellers of low-quality and illegally dispensed fuel.
The substandard petrol is not only harmful to vehicle engines but can also increase the risk of accidents and other untoward incidents. Legal proceedings will be initiated against those arrested, the administration spokesmen said.
The district administration made it clear that its crackdown would continue until illegal filling stations operating across the city are closed.
