PESSI Commissioner Orders Recovery Of Outstanding Dues
Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) Commissioner Zulfiqar Ali Kharal has directed officers to ensure achievement of contribution and recovery targets, expedite registration of industrial and commercial establishments, and take effective measures to bring more workers under the coverage of the Social Security system.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting at the Head Office to review in detail the performance of the Directorate of Social Security Faisalabad West on Wednesday, September 09, 2026. Director Faisalabad West, Area Officers, Vice Commissioner Tauqeer Ilyas Cheema, and other concerned officers attended.
The meeting:
- Reviewed progress on contribution targets, recovery of Workers’ Welfare Funds, and the Ration Card initiative.
- Briefed the Commissioner on registration of new industrial and commercial establishments in Faisalabad West and recovery of outstanding dues from defaulters.
- Examined measures to bring newly established businesses and workers into the Social Security net and expand system coverage.
Zulfiqar Ali Kharal directed officers:
- To utilize all available resources to achieve prescribed contribution and recovery targets.
- To expedite the registration process for enhanced Social Security coverage.
- To take stringent measures for recovering outstanding dues from defaulting establishments.
- To ensure timely progress on the Ration Card initiative in line with targets.
He stressed the need for improved field performance, warning that negligence in achieving targets would not be tolerated. He also threatened strict action against corruption or malpractice, holding both officers and relevant Directors accountable.
