Petrol and Diesel Prices Increased by Up to Rs3.81 per Litre

The Federal government on Friday increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by up to Rs3.81 per litre, effective August 22, 2026. According to the Petroleum Division:

  • The price of HSD has been raised by Rs3.59 per litre, from Rs364.70 to Rs368.29 per litre.
  • The price of Motor Spirit (MS), commonly known as petrol, has been increased by Rs3.81 per litre, from Rs337.78 to Rs341.59 per litre.

These revised prices will remain in effect until August 24, 2026, as notified by the Petroleum Division.

Remember that these changes are a result of the federal government’s recent decision and the implementation of the new petroleum pricing mechanism.

In related news, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) played a crucial role in reviewing and approving these price adjustments.
