GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 1st Sep, 2026) Punjab Food Authority (PFA) imposed a total fine of Rs 60,000 on five food points across the district for various violations.
According to official sources, PFA teams inspected 51 food points to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards on the directions of Deputy District Officer Sadia Rafat. The authority issued 26 improvement notices to food businesses found violating regulations.
An official stated that the inspection and monitoring campaign would continue to ensure the provision of safe, hygienic, and quality food for citizens.
