PFA inspects 68 food points in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Gujrat conducted 68 inspections of food points across the district under the directions of Deputy District Officer Sadia Rafat to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
According to an official source, PFA teams issued 33 improvement notices and imposed fines amounting to Rs94,000 on eight food outlets over violations of food safety standards. During the inspections, 2 kilograms of expired food items and 10 litres of used cooking oil were discarded.
The PFA has continued its inspection and enforcement operations across the district to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to citizens.
