PFA Inspects 79 Food Points
Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams conducted inspections at 79 food points across the district, ensuring compliance with food safety laws and hygiene standards. According to an official source, a total fine of Rs163,000 was imposed on 16 food points for violating regulations, while 33 others received improvement notices. An Emergency Prohibition Order (EPO) was issued against one food point.
During the inspections, 6.4 kilograms of expired food items were discarded immediately. The PFA teams advised food business operators to maintain cleanliness and adhere to food quality and safety standards.
