PFA Seals Two Production Units, Discards 2,640kg Unhygienic Food Items

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) team on Thursday shut down two production units and discarded 2,640 kilograms of unhygienic food items during an ongoing crackdown launched across the division. According to a PFA spokesperson, the food safety team, acting on a tip-off, inspected four pickle manufacturing units and spices processing facilities located on Sargodha-Lahore Main Road and Satellite Town. During the inspection, the team confiscated and discarded 2,200 kilograms of fungus-infected pickles and 440 kilograms of adulterated spices.
