PFA Seizes 910 Litres of Counterfeit Branded Soft Drinks in Burewala
PFA seizes 910 litres of counterfeit soft drinks bearing well-known brand names during a raid in Burewala.
The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted the operation on Thursday, recovering 910 litres of fake beverages along with expired stock from a beverages unit in Zafar Colony, Chenon Road. The seized and outdated products were destroyed, while the unit was fined Rs70,000 for violating food safety regulations.
This action is part of PFA’s ongoing campaign against the production and sale of adulterated and counterfeit food items, which pose a serious risk to public health. The Director General (DG) of PFA promised continued strict enforcement actions against culprits, stating that those endangering citizens’ well-being would not be spared.
