PHEC Chairman’s wife laid to rest

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Sep, 2026) The wife of Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Chairman and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, was laid to rest here on Sunday.

Earlier, her funeral prayers were offered at Wapda City Canal Road Expressway Faisalabad.

Prominent figures from political, academic, legal, administrative, business and social circles attended her funeral prayers and expressed condolence with the bereaved family.

Advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on Political & Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, former MNA Hajji Muhammad Akram Ansari, former MPA Khawaja Islam, members of the national and provincial assemblies, vice chancellors of various universities, senior academics, lawyers, police officials, representatives of the business community, leaders and workers of political and religious parties, ulema, teachers, civil society representatives and a large number of people from different walks of life attended the funeral procession.

Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan over the demise of his wife. He expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the bereavement. He prayed for forgiveness of the departed soul, elevation of her ranks in the hereafter world as well as patience and fortitude for the bereaved family.

The participants of the funeral procession also offered prayers for the departed soul and expressed their heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and other members of the bereaved family.
