PIMS Fire Victim Baby Laid To Rest In Wah
WAH CANTT, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – August 26, 2026) A baby girl, who died in a fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, on Wednesday morning, was laid to rest in Wah Model Town.
Kiran Fatima, wife of Ahmed Saeed Rehman, had given birth to the baby girl on Thursday evening, and the newborn was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at PIMS when the tragic fire broke out. The incident led to the baby’s death along with 14 other newborns.
According to family sources, the baby’s father is currently serving abroad. The couple had been blessed with the child after more than two years of marriage.
