Plane Carrying Eight Crashes in Western Alaska

A charter plane carrying eight people, including two pilots and six passengers, crashed near a remote radar site in western Alaska on Thursday, according to Clint Johnson, National Transportation Safety Board’s Alaska Region Chief.
The plane departed from Anchorage and was en route to Cape Newenham when the incident occurred. The Alaska Rescue Coordination Centre initiated a search and rescue operation following a report of an "aircraft incident."
