Motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqis, and vehicles up to 800cc will receive Rs100 per litre petrol relief, with registration procedures being outlined with the provinces, said the prime minister.
Key Announcements:
- Special Scheme: A special scheme has been launched providing Rs100 relief per litre of petrol.
- Eligible Vehicles: Motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqis, and vehicles up to 800cc are eligible.
- Relief Amount & Frequency: Owners will receive Rs100 relief per litre, capped at 30 litres per month.
- Implementation Timeline:
- Islamabad: Night between September 19-20
- Pakistan (including Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan): Night between September 21-22
- Registration: Registration for the scheme has begun and an awareness campaign will inform the public. The prime minister thanked provinces for providing data on eligible vehicles.
