Police Deploys Over 2,000 Personnel For Eid Milad-un-Nabi Security
SARGODHA, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th Aug, 2026) Police have put in place comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), deploying more than 2,000 police officers and personnel to protect processions and ensure peaceful observance of the sacred occasion across the district.
According to a police spokesman on Wednesday, special security arrangements have been made for processions, their routes, and adjoining areas while traffic police personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow and manage alternative routes. Superintendent of Police (SP) Operations stated that participants would be allowed to enter the processions only through designated entry points.
He further mentioned that walk-through gates had been installed at all entry points, and participants would undergo complete body searches as part of the security measures. The spokesman said procession routes and surrounding areas would remain under continuous surveillance through Safe City cameras, enabling police to closely monitor security throughout the proceedings.
Snipers have been deployed on rooftops of important buildings along the procession routes, while adjoining streets, roads, and other access points have been temporarily sealed wherever required for security purposes. Police station mobile units, special teams of police commandos, and patrolling squads have also been deployed in their respective areas to strengthen security and maintain effective patrolling.
The spokesman additionally noted that traffic police personnel are performing duties to ensure smooth movement of traffic and guide motorists towards alternative routes during the processions. He emphasized that all available resources are being utilized to guarantee foolproof security on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), allowing citizens to observe the sacred occasion in a peaceful and secure environment.
The District Police Officer (DPO) concerned appealed to citizens to cooperate with police personnel and immediately report any suspicious person, object, or activity to the police.
