Police Safety, Welfare Among Top Priorities: RPO

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mubashir Mekan has stated that the safety and welfare of police personnel are among his top priorities, encouraging them to remain brave and united against anti-social elements.
He was addressing a police darbar held at Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines. The RPO received a guard of honour and subsequently visited the police martyrs’ memorial, offering Fateha.
District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, senior police officers, and personnel attended the gathering.
The RPO noted that constables are the “real heroes” of the police force and instructed senior officers to treat their subordinates with respect and care. He implemented weekly orderly rooms at the RPO and DPO offices to address personnel’s concerns, with several officers raising their issues during the darbar. The RPO promptly issued orders for the resolution of these problems.
He urged police personnel to remain courageous, support their colleagues, and perform their duties with dedication. He emphasized that there would be no compromise on corruption or mistreatment of citizens, adding that providing justice and treating people with respect are fundamental police responsibilities.
