Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has accused political orphans and YouTubers of engaging in a frenzy of "eating dollars" surrounding the Chief Minister’s recent visit to London.
She clarified that the estimated costs of the visit would be prepared and payment made after Maryam Nawaz’s trip concluded, emphasizing that this process is not as simple as using digital payment methods like EasyPaisa or JazzCash.
In a post on X, Bukhari stated that she had previously disclosed responsibly as Information Minister that the Chief Minister intended to cover all expenses herself. She criticized the online criticism that preceded her return from London, claiming that propaganda was spread without understanding the facts.
Bukhari explained that government procedures involve preparing estimates and making payments through official channels. She accused critics of hypocrisy, noting that those who previously misused public funds are now falsely portraying themselves as moral.
"Those whose records are stained with corruption should be ashamed of making accusations against others," she wrote, promising further embarrassment for her critics.
