Federal Minister for Housing and PML-N leader Riaz Hussain Pirzada has emphasized the importance of political unity, stating that he is not tied to any particular party. He supports Mohsin Naqvi’s call for provinces under the doctrine of necessity.
Speaking on a private television channel, Pirzada warned that politicians must unite or face the consequences of their inaction. He criticized the current system as outdated and expedient, advocating for change.
"All parties have varying opinions on new provinces and small units because they are pursuing self-interests, which is detrimental to the country," Pirzada said. While acknowledging the potential benefits of administrative provinces, he argued that parliamentary systems cannot coexist with them. He called for political unity to avoid being held accountable for the outcome.
