PPP Leaders Pay Tribute to Armed Forces on Defence Day

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders, Ashar Hayat Khan (Division President) and Malik Khalid Nawaz Bobby (General Secretary), praised the bravery and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army on Defence Day, marking a significant and unforgettable moment in the nation’s history. They spoke at a dinner hosted by PPP Rawalpindi City General Secretary, Malik Asif Akbar, on Khayaban-e-Sir Syed.
The leaders emphasized that India launched a "cowardly attack" against Pakistan in the darkness, but the Pakistan Army responded with determination and courage, achieving a decisive victory.

Pakistan Peoples Party Youth Organisation Rawalpindi President, Abdul Rehman Tawakli, served as the stage secretary.
Mian Khurram Rasool, City President, highlighted the significance of Defence Day as a reminder of the need for a robust national defence. He praised the courageous soldiers of the Pakistan Army, expressing confidence in their continued leadership and India’s inability to pose a threat to Pakistan.
Rasool also announced PPP Rawalpindi City’s focus on the upcoming local government elections. They plan to reorganize ward committees and prepare lists of potential candidates for every union council.
The event concluded with a Fateha (prayer for the departed souls) dedicated to the martyrs of Defence Day, democracy, and other community members.
