Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has decided to intensify enforcement actions against fraudulent practices in tax payments and tax defaulters.

PRA Chairman Revenue Authority Moazzam Iqbal Sipra chaired a review meeting regarding officers’ performance and ongoing reforms here on Wednesday. The meeting conducted a detailed review of:
- Revenue collected from various sectors
- Tax targets
- Recovery
- Overall performance of the Authority
Digital Transformation
The Chairman sought a report on the effective implementation of e-invoicing, electronic monitoring, and the digital tax system. He emphasized that digitalization, effective enforcement, and expansion of the tax base are crucial for sustainable revenue growth.
Priorities and Directions
He stated that achieving revenue targets and maintaining taxpayers’ trust are top priorities, as directed by Punjab Chief Minister. The Chairman warned officers against unnecessary delays in resolving public complaints and restricting their work to file processing. He directed:
- Strengthening the mechanism for regularly monitoring pending complaints and obtaining feedback
- Making digital and online facilities fully available to minimize taxpayer visits to PRA offices
- Ensuring 100% provision of digital and online facilities
