There is no Senate or National Assembly session scheduled for this month, but a session may be convened if the leadership and parliamentary leaders deem it necessary, according to Minister of State for Law, Barrister Aqeel Malik.
PTI’s Stance on New Provinces
Malik stated that while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is okay with creating new provinces under their leadership, they strongly object when any other political party takes the initiative.
Assembly Legality and Public Opinion
If Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his team believe that the assembly is not legal, Malik suggested seeking public opinion on the creation of new provinces.
PTI’s Long March
Barrister Malik reiterated that PTI’s long march has never been peaceful, and described their planned long march as unconstitutional and illegal. He added that a report on the PIMS incident will contain all the facts.
