PTV and Universities Collaborate to Train Media Students

UrduPoint (7th Oct, 2026) - Pakistan Television (PTV) and universities across Pakistan are joining forces to provide practical training and industry exposure to media and communication students. This initiative was discussed during a meeting between PTV Head Adil Shahzeb and Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar in Islamabad.

Adil Shahzeb proposed connecting PTV with Media and Communication departments at universities, offering students hands-on experience and professional training. Wajiha Qamar welcomed the idea, emphasizing the need for closer ties between academia and the media industry to equip young professionals with relevant skills and practical knowledge.

The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional media practice by giving students more access to the working environment of the national broadcaster.
