Punjab Home Department Declares Digital Inventory Of All Arms Dealers Mandatory

UrduPoint (August 20, 2026) – The Punjab Interior Department has mandated a digital inventory for all arms dealers across the province. According to a spokesperson, Business Arms License (BAL) holders must now enter complete details of their guns, bullets, and other stocks on an online portal, along with updating records of purchase and sale.

A deadline of August 26, 2026 has been set for completing the inventory of existing stock. Dealers are expected to ensure all their current stock is recorded by the due date; failure to do so may result in legal repercussions, including license suspension, business sealing, and fines.

The Home Department is also organizing a special training workshop on August 24 at 10:30 am in the Punjab Forensic Science Authority auditorium for dealers to familiarize themselves with the Punjab Arms License Inventory Module. The workshop will also be available online through the concerned deputy commissioner’s office.
