Allah Almighty, according to the CM, has blessed Pakistan with breathtaking natural beauty and a plethora of tourist attractions. Punjab, in particular, boasts ancient forts, religious sites, and picturesque valleys, presenting vast opportunities for tourism development.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s designation of Lahore as the Tourism and Cultural Capital for the year further emphasizes Punjab’s cultural richness and tourism potential on the international stage.

Sustainable Initiatives for Tourism Growth

The Punjab government is actively pursuing sustainable initiatives to promote tourism. Modern facilities are being developed at popular destinations, and reconstruction projects are underway to enhance their appeal.

Religious tourism is also gaining traction through sustainable measures. Punjab’s rich religious heritage has the potential to attract visitors from across the globe.

Emerging Tourist Destinations

The Murree Glass Train project is poised to become a significant attraction, alongside already popular spots like Murree’s Mall Road and other expanded roads designed to cater to visitors. Kotli Sattian is also emerging as a new tourist destination.

A Vision for Punjab’s Tourism Future

The CM reiterated the government's commitment to promoting Punjab’s tourist destinations globally and utilizing all available resources for tourism development. This endeavor, she believes, will not only showcase Pakistan’s beautiful image worldwide but also create new job opportunities, stimulate local economies, and benefit young people and local communities.

Tourism, she concluded, holds immense potential for Punjab’s economic growth and cultural development.
