Qari Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting A Boy
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2026) Police have arrested a Qari for allegedly assaulting an eight-year-old boy in the Nawab Town area, here on Saturday.
According to police, Ibrahim (8) had gone to Qari Muhammad Asghar for his Quran lesson when the accused allegedly subjected him to physical abuse. The child returned home crying, prompting his parents to examine him, where they allegedly found marks of violence on his body.
Following the incident, the child's father approached the Nawab Town Police Station and lodged a complaint against the Qari. Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested Muhammad Asghar. Further investigation into the incident was underway, police said.
