Quran Must Be Understood and Practiced, Not Merely Recited: Allama Riaz Hussain Shah
Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah has stated that the Holy Quran is not merely a book of recitation but a complete source of guidance that must be understood, reflected upon, and implemented in daily life.
Addressing a weekly Mehfil-e-Zikr and Dars-e-Quran at Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, he argued that the Quran teaches humility, patience, good character, peace,
love, and tolerance.
He encouraged people to remain respectful and patient despite differences, emphasizing that the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offers guidance on knowledge, justice, morality, and service to humanity.
Additionally, he highlighted the lessons from the lives of the Ahl al-Bayt and the tragedy of Karbala, which demonstrate courage, sacrifice, and steadfastness.
Allama Riaz Hussain Shah particularly appealed to youth and students to grasp the teachings of the Holy Quran and integrate them into their character and daily lives.
The Mehfil concluded with prayers for the peace, prosperity, and stability of the country and the Muslim Ummah.
