Rana Sanaullah Urges PTI to Adopt Democratic Approach, Avoid Agitation

ISLAMABAD, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th Sep, 2026) Adviser to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday urged the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to adopt a democratic approach and avoid politics of agitation.

Speaking to a private television channel, he stated that the government would not permit any group to create a law and order situation through long marches or protest demonstrations. He reminded them of the May 9 incident and advised against repeating such actions in the future.

Regarding dialogue with PTI, Rana Sanaullah emphasized that political matters should be settled through negotiations, highlighting that dialogue remained the appropriate method for resolving political differences.

He also addressed the proposal for creating new provinces, suggesting that the matter be discussed at relevant forums and moved forward through consensus among political parties.

The adviser further discussed the potential benefits of strengthening local governments, noting that it could enhance public service delivery and empower local institutions to address citizen concerns more effectively. He believed that this would bring decision-making closer to the people and improve overall public administration efficiency.
