Rawalpindi Administration, Police Review Security For Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) Processions
Rawalpindi Administration and Police conducted a thorough review of security arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions on Wednesday. This included assessing traffic management, civic arrangements, and operational setups across the city.
Senior officers, including Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa, Commissioner Rawalpindi Salman Ghani, City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, and Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir, visited various procession routes. They met with members of the Central Peace Committee and Seerat Committee to ensure seamless coordination.
During their visits, the officials examined:
- Deployment strategies: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations briefed them on how police and traffic officers are strategically positioned.
- Static pickets and route clearances : Ensuring safe passage for processions.
- Real-time monitoring: RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa and CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera reviewed the surveillance networks of the Central Control Room and Safe City Authority headquarters.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera emphasized comprehensive security measures, highlighting the deployment of over 4,500 police and traffic officers. He assured continuous electronic monitoring throughout the event.
RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa reaffirmed strict adherence to the Punjab Government’s code of conduct. A spokesperson added that vigilant monitoring will remain in place for all sensitive locations and primary routes during the celebrations.
