Rawalpindi Police Intensify Accountability Drive; Sub-Inspector Suspended Over Alleged Corruption

Rawalpindi Police have accelerated their accountability drive, with City Police Officer (CPO), Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera ordering strict action against officials facing serious allegations of corruption.
On the complaints of alleged serious corruption, Sub-Inspector Umar Siddique, in-charge of Gulrez Police Post, has been suspended and relocated to Police Lines. A charge sheet has also been issued against him, according to police spokesperson.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera stated that there was no place for corrupt elements in the police department and reiterated a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He emphasized that strict departmental action would be taken against officials found involved in misconduct, corruption or abuse of authority.
This latest action is part of the Rawalpindi Police leadership’s ongoing efforts to strengthen accountability and ensure transparency within the department.
