Rescue 1122 Murree Responds to Over 3,700 Emergencies, Assists 4,033 Victims During August
Punjab Emergency Services Department’s Rescue-1122 Murree responded to 3,754 emergency calls and aided 4,033 individuals across the Murree District during the month of August.
According to the monthly performance report by the District Emergency Officer, Rescue 1122 Murree:
- Provided on-site first aid to 2,076 victims.
- Safely shifted 1,654 injured or sick individuals to nearby health facilities.
The report highlights the nature of calls received, including:
- 2,697 medical calls
- 236 fall injuries
- 229 road traffic accidents
- 12 deceased transfers
- 9 physical altercations
- 5 fire incidents
- 3 drowning cases
Authorities confirmed 28 fatalities across the district during this period.
Through the Patient Transfer Service operating between Murree and Kotli Sattian, Rescue 1122 shifted 275 critically ill patients to specialized tertiary care hospitals in Rawalpindi and Islamabad during August.
Emergency officials emphasized that their frontline units remain prepared to handle medical, road, and environmental emergencies around the clock.
