Rescue 1122 Responds To 165 Emergencies In One Week

Rescue 1122 responded to 165 emergencies during the last week, according to its weekly performance report issued on Monday. The service received a total of 2,572 calls, out of which 1,245 were unnecessary or irrelevant, and 1,162 were information-related.
The report details various types of emergencies attended to:
- 142 medical emergencies
- 17 road traffic accidents
- Two incidents involving fights and gunshot injuries
- One fire incident
- Two recovery operations
A total of 157 patients were provided medical assistance and transported safely to hospitals.
Through its referral service, Rescue 1122 responded to an additional 63 emergencies, transferring 17 patients within the district and 46 patients to other districts. Overall, 64 patients benefited from this service.
