Many Business Figures Own Private Jets, But Rulers Are Even Wealthier
Anchorperson Muhammad Malik opines that rulers have ample funds to purchase planes worth several billion rupees. Speaking on Geo News, he stated,
"When we travel, we pay from our own pockets. Traveling for free does not remain a hobby; it becomes a habit. God has blessed all of them with so much money that they can buy their own planes. Buying a plane worth several billion rupees is no problem for them."
Insensitivity or Arrogance?
Malik notes that while many business figures in Pakistan own private jets, they are even wealthier than those businesspeople. He considers traveling for free as a sign of insensitivity, implying that it can foster an attitude of untouchability.
He further elaborates, saying, "When we report something, we consider the potential defamation or response required, so we report carefully because there will be consequences. But if we know that no one will question us and we can report whatever we want, we might make outrageous claims."
