Rustum-Ambela Road Project to Be Placed Before PDWP Next Week
PESHAWAR, (APP – UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th Sep, 2026) The Rustum-Ambela main road project will be presented for consideration and approval, along with its funding, to the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) next week.
Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Assures Minister
During a meeting between Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Isam Zeb, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhr Jehan, the former assured the latter that the project would be included in the PDWP agenda for next week.
Minister Emphasizes Project’s Importance
Syed Fakhr Jehan highlighted the project’s significance as a regional connectivity initiative, promising it would enhance transportation, stimulate economic and social activities, and directly benefit the people of Buner, Mardan, and surrounding areas. He urged the Planning and Development Department to expedite the approval process.
Early Approval Process Requested
The minister requested that the necessary process be completed at the earliest to enable the release of funds and the commencement of development work. Isam Zeb acknowledged the request and confirmed the project’s upcoming presentation to the PDWP.

The minister expressed his appreciation for the assurance and noted the provincial government’s commitment to major development projects aimed at improving communication infrastructure.
