Saddadd, owned by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, secured a remarkable win in the Group 1 Grosser Preis von Baden at Iffezheim Racecourse, Baden-Baden, Germany, on Sunday. Trained by Roger Varian and ridden by Jack Mitchell, the four-year-old colt crossed the 2,400-metre finish line in a time of 2:27.66, edging out runner-up Parachutiste by a half-length.
This victory marked a significant achievement for Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, earning him a third Grosser Preis von Baden title—previously won in 1992 and 2001. It was also a milestone moment for Jack Mitchell, securing his first career Group 1 success.
