Safe City Multan Playing Significant Role in Enhancing Public Safety
Safe City Multan project is significantly contributing to public safety, crime prevention, suspect tracing, and improved traffic management. Over 400 surveillance cameras have been installed at major intersections and vital locations across the city.
Benefits of the Safe City Initiative:
-
Surveillance Network: The network aids in monitoring criminal activities and locating suspects involved in various incidents. It also facilitates a swift response from relevant departments during emergency calls through the Rescue 15 service.
-
Traffic Management: Surveillance cameras identify traffic violations, enabling the issuance of challans as per the prescribed procedure. This system promotes compliance with traffic rules and enhances overall traffic discipline.
-
Blood Donation: A blood donation wing operates under the Safe City initiative, promptly assisting patients in need by contacting registered donors upon receiving emergency calls regarding blood requirements.
-
Panic Buttons: Over 20 panic buttons have been installed across the city for emergencies when mobile phones are unavailable. The control room receives alerts and immediately informs relevant departments to offer assistance.
Safe City Multan actively supports Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of providing a secure environment for citizens, effectively tracing proclaimed offenders and missing children through its extensive network.
