Sarah Ferguson Expected Back in the UK 'Shortly', Source Says
The former Duchess of York is expected "back in the UK shortly", a source close to her has told the BBC.
Sarah Ferguson, who was forced to move out of Royal Lodge in Windsor in October, had been seen publicly at the Duchess of Kent's funeral the previous month. According to reports, she is currently renting a gated property in the Home Counties and may be moving into a six-bedroom home imminently, possibly within the week.
Ferguson has been living discreetly in an Alpine chalet in Verbier, Switzerland since leaving Royal Lodge. Her belongings were recently collected from her ex-husband Prince Andrew's home in Sandringham.
These developments come after Ferguson and Prince Andrew lost their royal titles following scrutiny over their links to disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Key revelations about Ferguson include:
- Apologetic emails to Epstein, one of which acknowledged his "steadfast... friendship" despite her public rejection of him.
- Another email suggesting she took her daughters to visit Epstein after his release from prison for child sex crimes.
These emails do not indicate any wrongdoing on Ferguson's part but have added to the scrutiny surrounding her relationship with Epstein.
