Saudi Arabia Discovers 110 Million Tons of Uranium-Bearing Mineral Deposits in Madinah
Saudi Arabia has discovered 110 million tons of mineral deposits containing uranium in the holy city of Madinah. According to Gulf Times, citing a report by Saudi state television, Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman made the announcement at the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria.
During his address, the Saudi Energy Minister revealed that drilling and geological research at the Jabal Sayid project in Madinah had uncovered estimated resources of approximately 110 million tons of mineral raw material, including rare minerals and uranium.
