Scholar Says, Self-esteem Weighs Way Above Personal Interests at NAB Anti-corruption Session

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan organized a special awareness and interactive session here Tuesday on “Integrity, Self-Accountability and Prevention of Corruption”. Noted religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalindhary delivered a keynote address as chief guest, highlighting how being honest is crucial for preserving self-esteem.

This session aligned with the vision and standing instructions of NAB Chairman, on the orders of the Director General NAB Multan.

Focusing on strengthening moral and professional responsibilities for corruption prevention in the light of Islamic teachings, Maulana Hanif Jalindhary’s address revolved around:

  • Trust, justice, integrity, accountability, and the rights of others as per the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
  • The importance of setting aside personal interests and performing professional duties with sincerity and fairness.

Senior officers from NAB Multan and prominent officials from various government departments, including Director Public Instructions, South Punjab, Farid Sharif, AMS Nishtar Hospital Multan Dr Muhammad Asif, Director Multan Development Authority Mohsin Raza, and Assistant Director Anti-Corruption Establishment Multan, Muhammad Ramzan, attended the event.

This awareness initiative is part of NAB Multan’s broader efforts to combat corruption, not just through legal action but also by promoting ethical and social values consistent with Islamic principles.
