September 6: A Day to Remember Bravery and Sacrifice

Noman Yousaf, Commissioner of Lahore, paid tribute to the victors, martyrs, ghazis, and brave sons of the homeland on this year’s Defence Day, marking September 6 as a bright symbol of bravery. In his message, he highlighted that:

"September 6 holds a prominent place in Pakistan’s history because of the courage, sacrifices, and unity displayed by the nation."

He emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring national heroes, adding that various events are organized in Lahore to commemorate this day. These include a flag-hoisting ceremony at Town Hall, honoring the brave nation with the Hilal-e-Istiqlal.

Yousaf reminded that:

"The spirit of September 6 remains alive among the people, and Pakistan is their homeland. The sacrifices rendered for its defense, security, and stability will always be remembered."

This year’s celebrations reflect the enduring legacy of courage and unity shown by Pakistan on this historic day.
