Emergency services respond to 'serious incident' at tiger enclosure
Emergency services are responding to a "serious incident" at the tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the visitor attraction has confirmed.
In a statement on its website, it said its emergency response procedures had been "immediately activated" and it was "working closely with the authorities to ascertain exactly what happened".
The park, near Doncaster, will remain closed for the remainder of the weekend, it added.
The BBC has contacted the park, South Yorkshire Police, and Yorkshire Ambulance Service for further details.
The park emphasized that the safety and wellbeing of its visitors, staff, and animals "remain [its] highest priority".
