Sharjah Attracts 142 Investment Projects Worth AED7.74 Billion in 2025
Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh, Chief Executive Officer of the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah), stated that the office will focus on markets with strong growth and investment potential in line with the emirate’s priority sectors in the coming period. He further revealed plans to explore new opportunities in Asian and regional markets while strengthening its presence in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe.
Speaking to WAM at AIM Congress 2026, Al Musharrkh emphasized the office’s focus on markets with expertise in technology, manufacturing, logistics, and innovation. Sharjah’s participation in the congress aims to:
- Strengthen its global investment position.
- Engage with investors and decision-makers.
- Explore new opportunities and partnerships.
- Showcase the emirate’s competitive advantages and investment opportunities.
He identified India, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States as Sharjah’s leading sources of investment, alongside regional markets. The emirate’s appeal lies in its:
- Diversified economy.
- Strategic location.
- Infrastructure.
- Competitive business environment.
In terms of sectors, technology and artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, sustainability, logistics, infrastructure, food, and manufacturing are attracting the largest share of foreign direct investment. Sharjah attracted 142 investment projects worth AED7.74 billion in 2025, creating 5,673 jobs, with approximately 75% of projects now operational.
Al Musharrkh also highlighted the role of infrastructure and supply chain development, such as plans to expand Khorfakkan Port’s capacity to 10 million containers, in strengthening global trade links.
